Falling film reaction is a process of heat transfer, mass transfer and reaction:a uniform liquid film formed along the down tube from the top of the reactor passes through the gas-liquid interface and the gas phase enters from the top or bottom of the reactor, and also mass transfer through the liquid phase entering from the top; it is the first or second order reaction in the process of mass transfer, at the same time produce heat effect, and then through the shell side heat medium which conducts heat transfer process.
Falling film reaction process is often accompanied by mass and heat transfer: The liquid phase enters the upper tube box from the top of the reactor, distributes evenly to each heat exchange tube through the liquid distribution system, and forms a uniform liquid film on the inner tube wall. The gas phase which enters from the top or bottom of the reactor, reacts with the liquid phase through the gas-liquid interface in the tube. The liquid film is constantly refurbished along the tube wall, and the volatile substances generated by the reaction are evaporated into the gas phase, while the generated heavy boiling point substances continue to flow along the tube wall along the liquid phase to the lower tube box, and the reaction is quickly completed at the gas-liquid interface.
● Small temperature and concentration gradient, short residence time, controllable reaction conditions.
● According to the physical properties and reaction conditions of the reactant system, use different forms of liquid distributor and film distributor to distribute the material evenly into the down pipe.
Main applicable reaction systems: Heat-sensitive reaction system, gas-liquid contact reaction system, system requiring removal of reaction gas products.
